Bummer: The one Black package 6 with Grey trim in our 5-state dealer network that we were trying to trade for had already sold. So now It is up to a 3 month wait as a special order, unless another one comes in sooner that can be traded for.
I drove by Appleway Toyota (Spokane Valley) today, and could not help but notice that they have a Silver #4 and a Tideland #1 in stock. The Tideland is actually quite attractive in person. More silver/grey than I thought . . . I was expecting a greenish tone. How do they manage to keep them in stock, when Downtown Toyota has a waiting list? $5000 markup over MSRP, that is how. It makes Downtown Toyota's $3000 markup over MSRP look reasonable! Well, who knows, those are just the window stickers. Maybe they wheel and deal. Or maybe not. Greedy @#$%^&*
Good news: May have it on Friday, July 29 Not the best, but livable news: Getting it traded from Oregon, so it will have a couple hundred miles on it.
We had a similar experience with the Downtown bunch, didn't even mess with Appleway either. If folks will just expand their search slightly paying MSRP is no problem. Our car is a Salsa Red Pkg. 4 bought at MSRP from Carter Toyota in Colville. They were great to deal with. Maybe we should put the sticker back in the window and just park it near Downers or Appleway and then talk to their prospective customers.
