My ZuneHD Mounted With ProClip mod. (w/Pics) I was looking for a good audio solution for all of my music, so I went with the ZuneHD + ProClip solution, which I am happy to say works very well. I got the clip which mounts near the cup holder, which I like because I can rest my arm on the arm rest and simply swipe through the songs. Feels very good. The cup holder is un-affected. Still opens perfectly and I can fit large cups in it still as well. Anywho, here are some pics!
I am a big believer in pro clip products, having used them three times now, and wondered what the console clip looked like. Thanks for the shots. Does it interfere with the passenger's space? I have a drink holder mount that works well, but when you want to listen to tunes, you can't drink a beer. Just kidding, I meant Coke.
I was also worried it would interfere with the passenger area, but it does not. So far, no long legs have come in contact with the mount yet! =D
I have a Pro Clip console mount just like this one and no one has ever complained about any intrusion from the mount or the IPhone which resides in it. I use the adjustable holder and can insert my IPhone with a case on it, even a holster with a belt clip. Very useful to keep the phone charged up.
That's it, I'm going to add this to my cockpit. Already have a scangauge mounted on the driver's side A-pillar with a proclip. Photos in another thread at http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/64482-spot-scangauge.html#post1089887 I use my iPhone to run Navigon for navigation and it'll work perfectly on the right of the console, and I can still use the cupholder. Proclip makes an Iphone mount with the charger built-in. We already have one in our Sienna.
I'd like to add another recommendation for ProClips. I have one on the left A pillar that I use for my GPS. They are a bit spendy, but the quality and fit are top notch. Kris
Just wanted to note, I now seem to be getting some rattles from the center console after installing this. Only happens in the morning when it's cold, but they are appearing. I am going to try and stuff the seams with some thin felt to try and stop the rattles.
Yeah, I get the rattle too and I don't have a ProClip installed. I think it's the inexpensive plastic that causes it to rattle in cold weather.
I went with the same Proclip mount for my iPhone (with another holder of course). I put mine up further than the OP and it works perfectly at that height. I'm very happy with the Proclip, haven't noticed any rattles yet.
