I'm wondering, as a new GenIII Prius IV owner, what functions are still available after the initial Nav subscription lapses. Any changes to the display, phone, audio, or BlueTooth functions, for example? Thanks.

The only thing you lose is traffic and sat radio. Nav and everything else will remain the same.

The maps for the Nav feature are on a DVD. After a few years, they may get out of date, and you can buy a new DVD to replace them. But you don't have to; you can use your "old" map DVD as long as you want.

The Navigation is not on a subscription. It will work until it breaks. The maps are updated every once in a while. From what I hear, 9.1 is the most current version. It is a couple of years old so there may be something in the hopper, but most people seem to ignore updates, particularly at a couple of hundred dollars a pop.

Thanks everyone for the clarification.
