Engine Breakin

    I have 2000 miles on my 2005...live in hilly terrain but am curious if there is any change in mileage after a certain number of miles are put on this engine.

    I noticed an improvement at 5000 miles but this was also when I changed to Mobli 1 oil.

    I am curious why you switched to Mobile one...I am a believer in synthetic oils and have used amsoil in the past. The dealer in Prescott carries mobil one but really does not recommend it for some reason.

    I've read on MotorTrend that performance actually improves around 40,000 miles. Can anyone explain why?

    BTW, my MPG improved by 3-4mpg after inflating the tires from 35F/33R to 40F/38R. Yes, the ride is slightly bumpy and i'm over the recommended pressure but i'm not high enough to blow the tire out...
