I have a 2008 Prius and want a dog barrier for the rear section- put the dog in the very back. Anyone have one they especially like? Thanks in advance for suggestions. Mary
Having read all the posts in the three other threads appraently the answer is "No, because there are none that work in a Prius", unless you put the back seat down, so, no. Harness system isn't what I'm after.
Try Pet Edge I had one in my 2006 that I purchased from them. They have a few that adjust for anysize car.
Guardian Gear Vehicle Pet Barriers Fully adjustable tubular steel barriers help to promote road safety by keeping pets safely contained to cargo areas. ONLY $34.99 PetEdge: Guardian Gear Vehicle Pet Barriers It's fully adjustable so it worked fine for my prius. At the time I got mine I paid 129. for this same model, so it's really came down in price.
There are two barriers I saw that look like they might work on the Gen II Prius: 1. This netting barrier that PetEdge (among others) sells: PetEdge. Good to see someone else had the same idea and put it into production. 2. This metal barrier that attaches to the rear left and right headrests and that Orvis (among others) sells: Pet Barrier For Cars / Cargo Area Barrier -- Orvis [IMGLINK]http://www.orvis.com/orvis_assets/prodimg/9X45M8FD_lg.jpg[/IMGLINK] * * * * * * * * Good luck. If you get a barrier, let us know how it works out.
I thought these types of barriers didn't work on the Gen II Prius because there is no roof ceiling (the hatch hinge is in the way) where the top of the vertical poles could attach to
