Received mine today, but no mention of a free oil change, although I still have a coupon for one from my dealer for attending a "Customer Appreciation" event back in October.
I should be hitting 10K in about 6-8 weeks, at which point I'll use the coupon and start the 10K OCI. I also plan on changing my own oil from that point forward.

Thanks from the OP to all of you who responded positively or negatively. I guess the question was timely, with the positives having received theirs only in the last couple of days. Did not see any responses from the Rocky Mountain region, headquartered in Denver.

I'll be looking for mine any day now. Of course many ignorant people all over the US think that NM is not part of the country, so who knows ... admitted to the Union in 1912, along with AZ, as 47th and 48th states.

Received mine today, 3/4. Phoenix, AZ. Looks like I'll try haggling w/ my dealer to renegotiate my prepaid maintenance plan. Wish me luck!

    I received mine today.
I was expecting a free oil change offer for the one that I already did at 5000 miles. No mention of it in the official letter. I'll talk about it with the dealer.

Mine arrived in the mail today. Very carefully worded to state that if 5w-20 is used or severe driving conditions (cold, long idling, dusty conditions, towing, etc.) that the next change must be at 5k miles, otherwise 10k/1yr is okay in non-severe conditions.

    Today.
I like the wording in the last paragraph re the Maint required indicator light - "...will continue to illuminate every 5K miles as an important reminder..." No doubt had Legal AND Marketing involved in that.
Would have been nice if they had mentioned something like "as a customer satisfaction element, your light can be reprogrammed -at no charge- to illuminate at 10K intervals if you desire at your next service visit".
But that would have incurred cost, and we all know that Toyota now needs every yen it can save up...

So if you go with the 10K service interval does that mean you will rotate your own tires at 5K, or simply let that item run along with the brake check to 10K?

    YEP.
I, personally, don't need a forced car "reminder". I, like many of us, keep my own service records.

Had my first oil change here in Northern Virginia on Feb 17, with 3,085 miles on the odo. The service tech said nothing about a 10K oil change interval, and the sticker they put on the windshield when they were finished calls for the next change on May 17 @ 8,085 miles.

By the way, I've received no letter from Toyota regarding the OCI change or about any recall, although they did "flash" the brake control while I was there.
