OH! your absolutely right. I forgot about that, but I already tried to contact them multiple times and had no success.
I saw on their website that they are taking pre-orders, but there isn't much info about when they will be available. I remember Ed Begley, Jr. driving the SUT around on his show a few years ago. It must have been a "proto-type" to promote the vehicle. I think Ed does the show just for the free goodies.
until i can pull in and fuel up like a liquid fueled car, it would really be a get around town fourth car leaf or something similar. probably whoever has it first or if more than one available, tech/price trade off.
OH I LOVE the MiniE. Um, I love the episode where Ed refuses to go to that free-stuff thing with Rachelle and then she doesn't get jack crap because she's not as big of a celebrity. Ironically, he does get things, they just tend to be bigger more expensive things than say a designer purse. HAHA
I liked the episode where Ed got a wind turbine for his house, and Jay Leno had just bought one too, except it drew in 16-23kw of power, while Ed's only brought in 4kw! haha. (Ed was so devastated) : O !?
I would love an Obvio. It looks like the car that Roger Rabbit would drive! However, the car that suits me best right now is my Zap Xebra SD, because it exists, and it's in my garage now, and it's the car I drive pretty much every day. Of the cars that might be available soon, I like the Tesla Model S the most, but because of waiting list issues and my best guess on production schedules, I'm hoping to get a Nissan Leaf, since I think it will be the next EV to become available in the U.S. The thumbnail below is the Obvio. It's a Brazilian car presently built with an ICE, but the company keeps promising to build an electric version for sale in the U.S. Nobody believes it will really ever make it.
Probably the Leaf. It can cover practically all our trips except for the shopping trips to the US lol.
Not sure? I have seen episodes where he has a Gen 1, another with a Gen 2, and yet another with a Gen 3. Sometimes he has his electric Rav4 and sometimes he has a Phoenix SUT. I heard he bought back his Gen 1 Prius from a relative.
Nissan Leaf, unless Toyota comes out with a Plug in Prius that can go 40 miles roundtrip (doubtfull), I was waiting for the Volt, but I might just not live long enough for that, and I can't take the disapointment of GM crushing them all (again). P.S. If I had a spare $109K lying around, and I could bribe someone to get moved to the top of the Tesla Roadster list, I would do it in a heartbeat
