Driving down I-5 i saw this canary yellow G3 Prius. definitely a repaint job...can only wonder what color it used to be.... http://priuschat.com/forums/album_pic.php?pic_id=1414
That's awesome. Custom-painting is a neat idea; both Honda and Toyota offer a boring assortment of colors in my opinion.
wasnt a taxi...just kinda wondering if it was a repaint from an accident or something. the car appeared to be in perfect condition. and its yellow was slightly less bolder than the Vancouver taxi, but very very close. since ive never seen the Vancouver taxi in person, it might be closer than i think
There have been several posts asking about repainting Prii. Consensus is that the value of the car goes down after being repainted other than in its original color. I agree that the color selection is boring. I heard Toyota is eliminating the Salsa Red, which was one of the more interesting and lively choices. I'd like to see them bring back the silvery-lavendar color from the Classic Prius. And, yes, I think a yellow Prius would be really cool.
Here's a photo of a co-worker's Prius..... Different colors at various angles and lighting! The pictures just doesn't do it justice!
ooh, that's a neat chameleon paint job. those aren't cheap! after using zaino on my black prius it's almost chameleon-like too!
I had thought some sort of green would be nice. I really looked hard at the Tideland Pearl for that reason. Someone told me that while the Prius may come in different colors, it's still green.
actually, i have a tidelands, and it be gray....or maybe grey. cant decide which to be honest with ya
anyone know how much that irridescent looking paint job costs? just wondering... i can't afford it i'm sure
actually since it would be a custom job, you will have to shop around and see who is available in your area and what they will charge
