Yep, Troy was on vacation last week, so I'm sure he's still trying to catch up on his emails. If you need a response ASAP, I'd go with IsrAmeriPrius's idea and call him.

Hi...I am all caught up on my emails. Just checked my replies and I replied both times, check your spam/junk mail folder. I bet they are getting caught up there.

    Troy

FYI...I will be away again the second week of August. I took the second weeks of July and August off for vacation time this year.

    Danny,

How long does it take to get a response back. I sent an e-mail two weeks ago and another one last Thursday.

    Thanks,

I just bought my Prius on Saturday and the dealer was hocking a 60K/5 year warranty for $1995 (which I declined). This sounds like a much better deal to me. Thanks.

My extended warranty and maintenance package confirmation arrived from Troy yesterday! This man is absolutely my new best friend and I think he deserves the second week off ! Thanks, Troy.

To anyone who has any doubts about the warranty or service package, rest easy and deal with Troy!

My dealer in Minnesota offered me a deal of $1236 "0" deductable from a company named Protective (the plan name is advantage)

Is this the same warranty as the one we are talking about here for $985 ????

Well THIS was a busy day... I cancled my 65K ($1650) warranty I was stuck with by my dealer today.

Also spoke with Troy and took care of the paperwork for my new 7yr/100,000 mi warranty. And am (As stated in many previous posts) $700 better off with a MUCH better warranty! WOO HOO - Thanks, Troy

I may just hop in my Prius and buzz up to see you from Texas and buy you a beer. I've saved WAY mor than the gas money my little beauty would burn on that round trip.

    Muchas gracias!

    NO.

The one being offered here is the Toyota sponsored warranty backed by Toyota.

I strongly advise you go with the bargain offered here.

    Tom,

This does NOT sound the same. As I stated I had the 'same' sort of policy that Troy sells just with less time and fewer miles (the $1650 Extra Care Platinum Toyota warranty). That one I canceled and got the same sort of policy with more time (7yrs vs 4 yrs) and miles (100,000 vs 65,000).

The plan I had was a GOOD warranty, just not enough time or miles. So now I have the same beast just more and longer. It is through Toyota which brings nice peace of mind AND I just saved $700 in the bargain!

    NO!!!

Your dealer is offering a THIRD PARTY policy (boy, was I burnt by one of those in the past when both the company and its re-insurer went under. $1,200 in 1987 $$$ down the drain).

The Toyota Platinum Extended Service Coverage Troy sells here is the real McCoy from Toyota Financial Services. 7 Years / 100,000 miles / 0 deductible for $985. You cannot beat the price or the underwriter.

    Canadian Extended Warranty options?

I live in Toronto Canada and I just ordered a 2006 Prius. Just went with the basic package. None of the fancy stuff really interested me.

My question is, can I get this warranty that you're all talking about up here? The dealer offered me 7years/100,000km for $1645 canadian. I don't see myself putting on much more than 10,000km/year so if I could get a 7 year warrantee at 75,000km that'd be great. Does anybody know if I can?

I'd say call Troy and see what he has to say. He should know if the warranty would be valid in Canada. His # is 413-774-6519.

I brought this post into my dealer when I went an picked up my Prius. They matched the price on the spot. Buying from same dealer might get you better service, so try it out.

spookyfudge, PLEASE don't tell people to do that! We have been through this before. Please don't use Troy as a bargining chip with your dealer. If it wasn't for Troy offering us here such a good deal on our warranties we'd all be paying more. Please just say "no thank you" when your selling dealer tries to sell you a warranty at a high price. Buy it from Troy part of his profit goes to this website to help pay for it's support. I'm sure most of us would be very unhappy if all of a sudden Danny pulled the plug because this website was getting too expensive to maintain.

I would suggest that it is somewhat naive to think that buying the warranty from the selling dealer will get you better service.

Next time, please scan through the entire thread and get a sense of what's going on before you jump into something. If you had done that in this case, you would have seen many requests NOT to carry Troy's excellent offer into another dealer to use as a bargaining tool. If people keep doing this, it could wind up losing this excellent deal for the rest of us.

For those who might remember my previous post concerning a similar situation, please note the abscence of any derogatory icons. :)
