Lexus Navigation Gen 5 9.1 Update North America 5150858 although I am not 100% as I tried many locations to finally obtain this one.
I just did another search about the copying issue. It may be a problem with the layer break. I plan on buying a 10.1 this year so I might be able to figure out the whole problem then.
TheForce, try using ImgBurn to generate the ISO image from the DVD, it will generate the Layer information for you as well. Mitch
Prius 2008 Gen 5 9.1 update DVD Navigation Map, North America, U34, 86271-53024, 464210-1380, Data ver.09.1 is one I was looking for and I was able to 'google' it to locate a download. This is Gen 5, the other available noted as Lexus Nav Gen5 9_1 does not work in the 08 model
Anybody get this one to work? I burned the image to a Memorex DVD+R DL using ImgBurn and made a coaster that just says "Unable to read data, Check if map DVD is correct". The part number on this torrent is correct for my 2006 gen 5 Nav. I've made quite a few coasters already with other torrents that aren't the right disc for the Gen 5 Nav.
To anyone posting on this thread : This is the Gen III 2010 Prius Main Forum so the DVD posted here is the correct one for the 2010 prius (I actually burned it myself on my gen 3 prius and it works like a charm) Everyone else ( with older model prius) , please post in the correct forum (no offend intended)
Thanks, Kameel. You're right, we hijacked this thread, sorry. I started a new thread with the last couple of replies in the appropriate forum at: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-audio-electronics/76895-upgrading-nav-dvd-my-2006-gen-5-nav.html
Agree too. I have a portable Garmin... Not to good to use in the car but I already know it is more up to date then who ever makes/maintains the Toyota system. My home address cannot be properly set because that address shows up half-way down the street from where it really is located. If I position to the real house location then I get to see its bogus address. This is no doubt just a data error that a $200 update will one day take care of if it is brought to who it may concern's attention. However the better solution would be if the software would allow overriding an address, i.e., editing out the bogus address and entering the correct address for that physical location. That would be sweet! Who do I contact to get the data corrections made and get the feature edit into the next software update? Heck, you can add a name above the address but you can't fix the address. I have to live with the house physically located correctly but showing the wrong address or located down the street from where it really is but showing the correct address--a great snafu. Who do I contact to get a free update? LOL
just got our prius 1 week ago. is 9.1 still the newest map version? i live in a new development area and some of the streets are not listed on the map. would be nice to update. but we do have our iphones with the correct maps, but its just easier without having to turn on google maps if the screen shows it on anyways.
Yes, R9.1 is the most recent. It sometimes takes years to get new streets on the map DVD's. there is a website that you can update, for the data provider, that may shorten the time... If you search you may find the link to it...
Thanks Jsharpe I've been searching the audio & electronics sub-forum but haven't found anything. although after googling I found some info...
