Hi all, I hope you'll be able to help me. I am about to pull the trigger on a 2010 Package III with navigation at a SoCal dealership but as I'm almost nine months' pregnant I don't trust my own judgement at the moment! The deal we were offered on the III with navigation package (MSRP $26808) is: $2000 down (only moved to the US from Europe 3 yrs ago, so don't have a lot of credit history) $327/month excluding tax for 36 months Residual $16,800 They also offered us $2000 down plus $375/month plus tax for a package IV with navigation - they didn't have any nice colors in stock for this model, though, and won't do a dealer trade for the same price. The V with advanced technology package was $455/mo plus tax (around $100 less than when we asked about in in December). My ideal car would have been the package III with navigation and moonroof, but it seems they're pretty hard to come by. What do you think of the prices listed above: I nearly signed on the III with nav tonight but managed to get away to sleep on the deal first! I didn't even think to ask about any 'extras', such as free servicing etc. Your insight would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking at leasing a Prius now and I would recommend you check out the Toyota site for Special Deals for the current deals in your area. In my area they have some good deals for a 2010 Prius V for only $265/month. See the attachment.
As I read it the IV comes with the sunroof package so it raises the price. Personally I am going with the V.
Too bad that price is only valid in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan’s upper peninsula. That's also with navigation only and no ATP. Yeah, that's what I noticed when I ran some numbers with Dianne for a IV with solar roof (just like the ad above shows) and it was about a $20/month difference compared to leasing the V with no ATP. With the same options and packages (nav, leather), you can get a V with LED headlights, fog lights, headlight washers, and 17" wheels. Or for about the same price, you can get a IV with solar panel roof. We also ran the numbers on a loaded V. If you get the ATP package on a V for a lease, it doesn't add any value to the residual so it actually adds to your cap cost & MSRP and raises your monthly payments by about $75/month extra. IMO, you would think the choice is obvious. But there are probably those who would say the solar roof and ventilation will come in handy for them more than the better headlights, factory foglights, and the nice looking (and highly desired) 17" wheels.
Yup, pretty much is. And for those who would argue about not getting the solar roof on the IV and saving approx $1500 from a V w/nav and no ATP, you could always sell those 17" wheels for a good amount and that would almost cover the difference in price. And you would still have the LED headlights and fog lights in the end.
I wonder if I can fly into one of these states and get these offers? or do you have to be a resident?
