I have a 2006 prius (464210-0700 Data VER 05,1)with 5,1, but no ability for override menu. Reported by others also. Interesting that the loading,kwi on the disk is about 25mb in size, where everyone else seems to have a loading.kwi 50mb in size. I have not been able to create a hybrid with the 50mb loading.kwi, planning on trying with my 25mb loading.kwi. I wonder if the 06 loading.kwi even though 5.1, does not have the menu because of its smaller size? Any input would be appreciated.
Well, I created a hybrid dvd 5.1/7.1 with the smaller file off the original prius dvd. Worked well including POI. Using the loading.kwi 5.1 gen 5 linked all over the net did not work. Used the same procedure, drive and disk (verbatum dvd+R DL) in both disks. It appears that the 06 prius has a different loading.kwi for GEN 5.
all gen 5 dvds are the same how could some have different loadng.kwi ? can you please sed me a copy of your loading.kwi that you said worked for you?
Same here - 2006 Prius with: North America U40 D Part Number: 86271-47040 464210-0701 Data ver.05.1 The override does not work on my nav system. My version loading.kwi size is 25,319,424 dated 8/25/2005. It seems odd that Toyota would have the same rev with different loading.kwi. Can anybody shed light on the difference?
I have a few different copies of the dvd upgrade off the internet .... and NONE have worked in my 06 prius. i have tried copying the loading.kwi from the original dvd disk and copied over the loading.kwi on the upgrades and NONE have worked. i am more frustrated i cant do this .. then actually needing the upgrade by now. i do not know the sizes of each of the loading.kwi files ... i have sent out a few PM's to other PC members and waiting for a reply. i have even used memorex dvd-dl ... i have read that the only dvd-dl to work are verbatim or ritek .... im also looking for some help with this as well.
