This is 1/2 of the HID kit There is 2 plastic clips under the fender and 4 10 Mm bolts. Un do them and bend back the inner fender like this I took out the fog lamp because I couldn't get the HID bulb installed right. The lamp is held in with one philips screw. come out in just a second. This is the Back side of the HID ballast. I put some 3m trim tape on the back side of the ballast and stuck it to the bumper support. Here is a pick of the stock on the left and the HID on the right Here is what the HID bulb looks like it fits right into the stock lamp FOGS OFF FOGS ON
what color range HIDs did you use? How well did they match the LED headlights? From what I've seen when looking at the LED headlights on another V, the 4300K is a little too yellow looking and 6000K is too blue looking, and 5000K-5300K seemed to match pretty well.
SD44: I agree the 4K seem a bit Yellow. I have 8K and you can see they are Blue. So if you were like 5 or 6 k you might be closer to stock color. I didn't care that my Fog's were not the same color as the stock LED lights. Driving around town I didn't notice to much of a diff. It's when you get away from city light's or in dark areas or places or you have a over hang it makes a diff.
I want to get a HID kit and replace my low beams. Carhidkits has a HID kit from AGT. They said that I will need a harnes because the factory bulb is 55w and the HID is 35w. The harnes needs to be conected to the battery. Do I need to run the + & - to the battery in the rear or is there somewhere in the engine bay that I can hook into? By the way the Toyota dealer told me not a good idea to put a HID kit on??
Hummmm The stock H11 bulb draws 55 watts and there is no problem. The Aftermarket HID kit draws 35 watts, (25 watts less). I see no problem with hooking the power from your stock fog lights to the new hid kit. Un less your pulling 35 watts at some elevated amperage
