Has anyone cut a slot into the Weathertech cargo mat in order to better access the cargo hooks just inside the rear hatch? I have a cargo net and the bottom hooks are not easily accessible with the cargo mat.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll wait until the summer sun cook my trunk a few times, I think the fit would be better then. :D:D

    Re: "Digital Fit" Winter mats

I find them pretty darn near perfect. :thumb:

I bought mine *after* reading all the ravs on the thread referenced above. Any excess water, shoe guck, etc., stays in the mat tray. If I need to it gets wiped out with a towel or napkin. Sure, they don't have ribs to trap the water, which would be nice, but they are marketed to be an exact fit - not a shamwow.

My only improvement would have the surface a bit less slippery, particularly the cargo mat so items are more 'stay put' while I practice my indy race moves. :car:

Today was the first day we received a lot of snow. As I predicted these mats would not work well with snow. My car sits in a heated garage. They were dry when I left the house. The snow from my shoes after getting in the car once created the water shown in the picture below.

As you drive the water shifts. These mats do not have fins to keep the water from shifting. Look at the bottom picture. Water leaked into the support piece and over the very low edges in the back.

Maybe someone will come out with a well thought out mat someday for the Prius. The Toyota OEM weather mats have fins but no boarders.

Yeah, I'm not going to order them now. I had the same suspicion. What a shame, it's a nice fit.

For people who already received their mats: I placed an order on 1/5 through this website and got a generic email saying "to be shipped in 5-7 days". It has been over 10 days now and I have no response from Weathertech, no tracking number, etc. Oh, by the way, my credit card was charged on 1/6. Has anyone experienced similar?

Got weathertech fronts thru priuschat shop. Shipped timely. Really like them. We must not get so much snow here, because they seem to handle our situation with no leaks.

It seems they are backed up at the moment. I ordered and got shipped status 1/6 but nothing until now. I went through Amazon with a third party seller.

I ordered mine on 12/28/09 and just received it yesterday. They look great. When I ordered them, they indicated it would take 7 to 12 days before shipping. I called them twice and always spoke to someone.

Just adding to the list of delays. Taking the from the post above. I ordered mine on 12/22/09 and just received them yesterday. When I ordered them, they indicated it would take 7 to 12 days before shipping. I called Weathertech three times and always spoke to someone. The website always said in progress although the had not even started fabrication according to the contact person.

They really must have been SLAMMED by G3 owners over the holidays. I have ordered other products from them in the past and have never had a delay like this. Fortunately the mats are very cool, nice fit, good coverage. Works for Cal weather (no snow).

I was going to wait for Husky Liners as I have them in my Highlander Hybrid but got these for Xmas instead. Couldn't be more happy!!:D

I'll get to test them this week with all the rain we're suppose to receive this week.

Got mine before X'mas 09. Absolutely no smell. Works well. I highly recommending it.

I have used a product called Odo Ban for my carpet and floors for quite awhile and it really works. I get mine in gallon jugs at Sams Club. I would flood the floor with this product and let it sit for awhile and then I would either mop it up or vacuum it up with a wet/dry vac.

A year? Seriously? Its winter. There might be a backlog, but not a year.
