Hello everyone. I am a newbie here. Just register and have few questions for my brother who owns a 2010 Pirus. I am in CA. He is in NV. I ordered for him a HID + relay harness from DDM's. After installation, he called me and having problems: 1). The main connector on the harness (O shape) should be stick out for at least 6 in. On his, the main power (O shape) is very close to the big knot???, so after installed, he couldn't close the power box because of the knot. He has to leave it open and I don't think it is a good idea. 2). The relay is too short. It is long enough to install the kit but like stretch out, no room for putting away the ballasts. This is the Toyota Pirus, a small compact car. I have a 08 Pilot and also installed hid kit on it but I got the harness on ebay. The harness I got was more than enough room to run across the Pilot. Has anyone had same problems? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks. This is the link I sent to him. Thanks hawkmoon77 PS. Tried to post the link from this site by hawkmoon 77 but not allowed to.
It is extremely difficult to understand what you are even trying to say. If the parts aren't right, you should just be contacting whoever you bought them from.
Exactly, I have a feeling you bought the wrong HID kit for your brother. Aftermarket HID's are extremely easy to installl almost plug and play as long as you bought the right socket bulbs for the headlight.
I got the h11 kit coming from ddm, I'll post after the install if the harness is short or other problems
Check out this place. www.sharphid.com Tell him that '007' sent you in and they will take good care of you, not to mention that all of their kits come with free shipping and a lifetime warranty! Again, mention that '007' sent you in and they'll give you priority service and handling!
Have him take some pictures so we can see what is going on. All the relay harness's I've seen are identical and more than long enough. PICTURES!
OK just finished the ddmtuning hid install, 1 more foot of harness and I probably could of put the passenger side ballast were I wanted, someone found a good spot on them side plastic things that pop out easy (there is a little noise suppression cloth on them), I put the drivers side there but was short trying to make it over to the passengers side, oh well, they are still a great improvement
