Exactly. I call my Prius a poor man's Lexus.

 

Move the brake pedal to the left at least one (1) inch. My foot gets caught under the brake pedal at times.

 

2010 NAV:
Option to speak "Name of Point of Interest". You have to pull over if you want to find a POI by name. While driving you can only find POI on route or close to here.

I have not seen it in the summary, so I am posting it (did not check if somebody else thought about it):

- Electric heater for the passenger compartment. So, you have immediate heating upon start up, and your engine does not have to idle stupidly to heat-up the inside of the car. Of course, once the engine is warm, the heat comes from the engine and not from the electric heater. I think this will be in the plug-in version of the Prius. It would be cool to have it on the "standard" Prius as well.

 

... and one other thing:

- Have the Hybrid System Indicator always visible. It could be just a thin line at the bottom of the display, which would show the HSI line, even if we are looking at the FE/FC histogram. So, we would always know if we are going into the PWR zone, into the "ICE kicks-in" zone, or in the "possibly EV mode" zone.

 

I think you mean that it will be 'hot' rather than 'cool' to have it on the standard Prius.

 

The Prius already has this! It has electric heating elements that are used under specific conditions. I've smelled the electric heat a couple of times in my Prius. Remember though, that heating this way is not very efficient and will draw down the HV battery rather quickly.

 

Re: Shifter position

In my twin engine boat (anti-Prius), you push the shift levers forward to go forward and pull them back to go astern.

 

I'd really like to see some of the features of the V broken out into individual purchase options. Actually, I think it would be great to get most of the features on an a la cart basis. The III came the closest to the feature combination I was looking for, but there are a few things on the V I would have spent a little extra for.

 

Here's what I want:

1. Built in hot spot device that allows my car access to the internet...so...
2. Then if I wanted to do a remote AC trick, I could do it via the internet and not from just 10 feet away...and...
3. I could also have my car send its service record and stats to my dealer for review should I need it to...or...
4. Surf the web on the Nav interface when the car's parked...and...
5. Others riding along with laptops or smartphones could have wifi access to the internet through my car's WEP enabled built-in access point...also...
6. If I didn't like the way my Nav screen looked I could download SKINS to change the interface a bit to my own liking...or..
7. If I grew weary of Navlady, I could download a new voice avatar for the Nav system and have CylonCenturion, PeeWee Herman or Monique instead...

 

The bottom ledge of the body by the door should be narrower, finding the back of my pant leags are getting dirty from rubbing on the location getting out

 

I'm 6'2" tall, long arms and legs.

I took a quick sit in a 2010 Prius today. After sliding the seat all the way back and cranking it down almost all the way, I thought the steering wheel was pushed mostly into the dash. Well, it wasn't. It was actually pulled all the way out towards me, but IMO, not enough.

In an edmunds.com video put out last year, Erin Riches, a Sr. Editor mentions "... but unfortunately the (2010 Prius steering) wheel has a very limited range of adjustment, so it's still not perfect"

The steering wheel should be able to telescope a little more towards the driver, perhaps 1 to 2 inches (2.5cm to 5 cm) more.

Backup power system option ($2000 or less cost)

2000-5000W capacity near sine wave inverter running off of the HV battery. Automatically turns on and off ICE to keep HV battery in best state. Ideally a standard 220V connection like generators have for connection to breaker panel switchover boxes as well as a set of 120V plugs.

The first (mild) hybrid GM pickups could do this and run for a day on a tank of gas, making far less emissions and noise then a portable generator.
