It's tough to find out what kind of rates Toyota is offering on Prius financing for 60 months. I see they are doing 2.99% for other models. I can get 4.5% from capital one with excellent credit. Anyone have any first hand experience with financing through Toyota?
When I told my dealer I was financing through my credit union for 4.49%, he said "I can beat that!". He did too. He financed me through Toyota Credit Services for 3.9%.
when i got my 2010, i asked about financing so they ran me and despite an 800+ rating, was declined. they did some "3rd party" offer for like 4 something, so i just paid cash. i do know that i could have gotten a Corolla under the Toyota financing which i had applied for online the month before just for comparison pricing
I got 3.6 through Chase (arranged by dealer). Apparently, they could get cheaper rates than if I applied directly through Chase.
I bought one this week, started with Capital One who gave me 4.31 for 60 months. Out of curiosity I asked the dealer what they could do and they offered 4.25 for 60 months. I found out at signing that it was through Chase, which I'm not thrilled about. At one point the dealer did say that you needed at least 720 or so to get the 4.25.
Your best bet is to get the blank check from Capital One and bring it to the dealer and ask if they can beat it. Go for whoever is lowest and you are not obligated to use the blank check.
I just bought my car a little over a week ago and the dealer gave me a rate of 3.49% through a local credit union. Probably doesn't help any, but just thought I'd throw something out in case anyone wanted to know what % where like here.
