I have ordered the Electrochromic Mirror from the dealer aftermarket as it didn't come with package #4 and like its control over rearview headlights especially on tired long distance eyes. Of course I would like to rob him of his exorbitant labor costs, the part $ is bad enough. Before I start my usual trial and error installation method, has anyone accessed the interior to see how the mirror is plugged into its port? I would love to learn from your mistakes. :mrgreen:
One thing I find might ease installation. Instead of routing the whole harness through the headliner and down the pillar, instead tap the constant 12V and ground leads from the overhead console. Then all you need to route is one wire: ACC (or Ig1).
