I had such good results with Amsoil in my Honda Odyssey that I wanted to try it in the Prius. Also interested in extending to 10K mile changes so had to get it analyzed. Results are attached. Note that the first sample was 5000mi on the Toyota dealership's oil and filter. I'm not sure what they used. The large difference in Moly and Calcium are due to the oil formulation. Amsoil doesn't use as much moly additive and usually shows more calcium. I saw the same pattern on the Odyssey and verified the info with the Blackstone tech. On to the numbers:
I ran SSO Amsoil in my my Prius from 2k to 17k, and it did well, with a TBN of 4.1. There was 3% fuel contamination, but that has since trailed off. I'll be back to Amsoil for the next change, and will be going to 20k intervals.
