Yes! . . . and since ice weasel was on the other end of the shutter on the very highest quality pics at PCD, he, unfortunately is not in our very best group shots!
Umm.... he mentioned it in and in another there. There's mould (mold for you Americans) growing inside the car and he wants to know how to fix it and whether it's a design flaw. It's the first case I've heard. I mean I know there's mildew but that's associated with the A/C unit and it's an easy fix. Well I found this e-mail at Toyota Singapore's website [email protected] or use this page Toyota -
Hi Hill My only wish is the car lives up to Toyota's claim of quality and fuel efficiency. I am just a bit disappointed that the impression that i had on Toyota is changing in the first 2 months of prius ownership. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Re: Yes Virginia, real people from Toyota do read here I registered that a long time ago. If I could change it, I would. But you know, I don't want to lose my long time status and credit for my (almost) dozens of posts. And here's the best explanation for the name, a name I've used online for almost twenty years: If you recognize the source, you win twenty extra personal bonus points!
Re: Yes Virginia, real people from Toyota do read here Stupid me . . . I thought the screen name had something to do with ice relating to frost. That's what I get for thinking. .
Re: Yes Virginia, real people from Toyota do read here Not stupid at all, it's the natural assumption. Who would think it would be related some bizarre cartoon from the early eighties?
Your bonus points are automatically attached to your account. As to what they're good for, well, they're bonus points.
Yep, just a year-ish ago; I couldn't make it to the 2010 reveal due to an event conflict but remember staying glued to the net and everyone's picture-sets and videos as that weekend progressed. . Some of the old-timers around here know that Toyota's been reading Priuschat probably since long before anybody ever had the thought that Toyota might be reading Priuschat. The "prius team" group that finally emerged from the closet last year is a marketing arm, which may or may not have good ties to the engineering staff, so not all questions may get answered. . _H*
bonus points are like any other bonus.... an embellishment to what you have and is used for those special "unexpected" situations. since you will not know when those bonus points will be needed, its difficult to give you an exact explanation.
As you long-timers know, yes, we do monitor as many of the conversations that we can here. We can respond to only a fraction of them, and capture the essence of somewhat more, but in no way do we have the resources to handle all the traffic that would want to talk to Toyota via our Prius Team. That's the reason we have a call center. Good catch! We recently added that. We feel that every owner should know about this great place to discuss their vehicles. So we definitely support it! Haha, yes we've been lurking for some time. And yes, Prius Team resides in TMS Marketing, for better or for worse. On the up side, this means I have a ton of knowledge about upcoming products and news (though I can't spill a lot of it to PC, at least we can try to tease it). We also actually DO a lot of work - we're not just talking heads or representatives of people who do the work. We have heavy influence on product, create marketing strategy, and can run our own programs. We're also the repository for the most important info - about the Prius customer. The point is, I think from our vantage point here, we're best positioned to relate to PC members. The downside is that we may or may not be able to comment on technical or service questions (either because we can't get answers from the right people or we're asked to not be the mouth on the issue). In the future, we may bring more Prius Team members who can speak to additional issues directly. Now, as for whether we're real or not... I still ask myself that everyday. as I have the FUNGUS problem too - the OP's whole purpose of starting this thread was to see if this issue was addressed. Yes dealers are swapping out the panels --- but I don't want to have my display changed within the warranty period only to have the exact same thing happen again OUT of warranty coverage. as there are numerous threads on the subject I'd like to see your team address this. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-inside-dashboard-glass.html?highlight=fungus http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...ts-inside-lcd-dashboard.html?highlight=fungus http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-in-dash-display-defect.html?highlight=fungus http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...ment-panel-glass-fogged.html?highlight=fungus http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...s-in-instrument-cluster.html?highlight=fungus http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-multi-function-display.html?highlight=fungus thanks for your help.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned, but one way to express your wishes about Prius or for future releases of car is to call 1 (800) 331-4331 , follow menu and give your info to the customer service rep. They are supposed to forward the suggestions.
