Woo Hoo! I got delivery of the III Barcelona Red today. I went there to get only the purchase order for my loan but the rate from Chase (arranged by the dealer) was cheaper than my bank's rate. So, I got everything done today albeit a bit hurriedly (it was past closing time when i got delivery). Even the plastic is not removed from the car ( i had asked him not to remove until delivery) but I will go back tomorrow and ask them to remove it (for fear of screwing it up if I did it myself). Have to pay the down payment tomorrow as well! Anyway, the dealer gave me the out-the-door price quoted (based on $23,000 MSRP) when I ordered the car in October. The window sticker had the $400 increase ($23,400) apparently due to its delivery in early January. This $400 savings should partly offset the loss in federal sales tax deduction had I gotten delivery in Dec. Totally, I got $900 off MSRP. Options - floor mats, Nav with iPOD, Remote Starter and Security system. They tried pushing the 8 yr/100k extended warranty for ~2000+taxes but i declined. Also, declined the paint protection. Now, I got to start reading the manuals and have fun driving!
Congrats, and be sure to check for tax exemptions in Ohio. Many states exempt high-mpg vehicles from sales tax, or give an income-tax credit for purchasers of the same... See Hybrid Center :: Consumer Center :: Incentives
thx, pjksr02. the bill in OH for the tax credit never became law. hopefully, something else comes up.
