I am preparing for installing my carputer but I have one concern. I want to bring a usb extension cable from the trunk to the driver seat of the car. Now my question is how easy is this to do and how do I do it?
You may have problems with the length of the cable. You're limited to 5m. However, a car is a much noisier environment (electrically), so you probably have to go shorter. USB.org - FAQ: Cables, Connectors, and Networking Logistically, it's easy. You can pull the panels off of the door runners and put the wire in there. There's already various other wires going front to back.
