There are posters who claim to be from Toyota. (this is the internet, you can claim to be anyone) There are posters who claim to be from Dealerships. There are posters who claim to be Prius owners. Most of us are here because we want to tell you something, but with luck, some of us are listening, as well.
Yep, the first two posters can add most of the mods, qbee42, myself and quite a number of notable posters here to the we.
The only sponsors are the advertisers (banner ads). As far as I know there are no hidden sponsors. There have been some professional members - car dealers and the like. I suppose you could consider them sponsors, but all they get for it is recognition. Tom
If you register toyotaownersonline.com which is a toyota site, it will allow you to add priuschat as one of your favorites. Not saying this site is related, but obviously toyota supports it.
If you are from Toyota, will you be able to find from Toyota problem research/lab unit (my own terminologies, you know what i mean) why there is Fungus growth in the dash? How can mositure get into dash? what equipment could be at fault? could be the design of the location of aircon blowers or a seal failure in the dash?
Just send a PM to user-name on here Prius Team. They have made several posts, over 300, on here. There is an 800 number to call for the Customer Experience Center but it may be only for US residents, not sure. Maybe by contacting them via PM, they can provide you a phone number to call or some other means of assistance.
Have you tried contacting your local Toyota distributor (I know Borneo Motors sells Toyotas in S'pore but I'm not sure if they represent Toyota as a corporation in Singapore or that they're only a dealer).
I went to Borneo in person and left a message with them for the service manager to call me back. This was 2 days ago and i am yet to receive any calls. As i know they are dealers, I am trying to establish a contact with the right Toyota group myself. Today my son pointed out that he sees a stain like mark on the radio panel from the angle he is seated. I hope it does not turn out to be worse.
true true... but its much harder to keep up the facade especially in person. since i amongst several others here, did meet the members of Prius team in person, i can attest, they are real. then again, considering they posted confidential company info about the 2010 Prius months before the intro, does imply they do "know someone who knows someone who..."
Yes Virginia, real people from Toyota do read here I just want add another voice to those saying that Toyota does read the comments here. I think people would be surprised at the efforts Toyota makes to stay informed of owner opinion throughout the net. That does not mean if you complain about something you'll get a mysterious phone call from TMS apologizing but Toyota does factor all the net commentary into what they do. The comments here and elsewhere does help shape what Toyota does. For that, I think they deserve some credit.
bramesh, do you have a specific feature? ... or set of features in mind? Sometimes the reason Toyota avoids 'improvements' is because they believe (right or wrong) it's not what owners want. Why don't you mention what YOU would like to see incorporated into the Prius. You never know. Many folks here have mods done ... and one of those may be exactly what you're looking forward to. .
Re: Yes Virginia, real people from Toyota do read here amen... if you were not part of the 2010 Prius reveal as we were lucky to be, you would not know how much Toyota is involved here and elsewhere in user groups on the web. but the invitation, the entire process, the face to face with significant people in the entire Prius design and marketing group was absolute confirmation of their participation here
..and, you if you search on Youtube, you will see some of us on videos that Toyota made, talking about the Prius.
