What "Pay as you Go" phone will pair with 2010 Prius w/Nav. Will the Walmart brand pair with it? It will be used less than 10 minutes per month.........so I don't need a 'Plan'.

Tracfone advertises a Bluetooth capable phone, but I honestly don't know if it pairs well with the Prius or not as I don't have that model. I personally am happy with the Tracfone service and price. Had one for about 7 years now. Costs me about $100 a year which includes about 1000-1200 minutes depending on what deals I can find.

I don't know if you know about net10, tracfone is it's parent company and it works the same way as tracfone but it's 10 cents a minute all the time. I switched from tracfone to them a couple of years ago when I found out about it. It's really the same company.

I have a T-Mobile pay-as-you-go plan with a Motorola V195. The phone cost was $30, works well, and T-Mobile has good coverage. Integrates perfectly with the Prius Bluetooth.

I can confirm that we use two Tracfone LG models in our Prius and both sync well with the Bluetooth -- with the one exception that I had to put contact lists in manually. As for "NET10" and "Tracfone" the difference is slight but since several current phones are sold by Tracfone with "lifetiem double minutes" the net cost per minute usually works out at less than 10 cents.

LG600 works well. I know this is an unhelpful comment, but since I believe the LG290 is newer, I doubt the Bluetooth could be inferior.

Do yourself a favor, and refrain from talking on the tele while driving.

As for cheap paygo phones, first decide on carrier network:
For CDMA (Verizon), use page plus cellular
    For GSM, T-mobile

OK. I made too harsh judgment on Tracfone Motorola w376. You can connect it to 2010 Prius III+Navigation. You have to edit and set Bluetooth passphrase in Prius to 0000. It is also useful to rename your phone name in your phone Bluetooth setup. Phonebook will not transfer though.

AT&T GoPhone with Sony Ericsson i580 works perfectly.
