Hello all, I use to have a Blizzard Pearl but now it is more like the Winter Gray. Don't get me wrong, I am not proud the it is this dirty but it is a fact of life up here... the great equalizer in vehicle terms. There goes a BMW and it looks just like mine. So post a photo of your dirty car and we will all mourn together.
Surprisingly, the front of mine doesn't get that dirty. The back, however, looks like that. I'll see how dirty it can get (it is kinda clean right now actually) since we're going above freezing and that means snow becomes mud slushes.
My Winter Gray has become SALT WHITE! Agree with Tideland...your front does look like rear hatch area....collector of UGH! UGH...3 month's and counting before this is over....hopefully...
So ya think white is not suppose to show the dirt and salt? HUMmmmmmmmmmmmm I KNOW YOU BEEN HIT WITH BAD WEATHER THE PAST FEW WEEKS. We have been lucky here in Western Massachusetts. We have had been socked in with temps in the teens and an occasional snow flury. Because my car and so is yours a daily car, we have to expect this. I like the new brushless car washes. Gets the undercarage and exterior reasonably clean. There is nothing like a hand wash but better days are comming. When the temp is 40+ I will try to hand wash mine.
I was just looking at that yesterday. The impact inside isn't too bad considering. But there is stuff collecting on the electric components. Which brings me to the question: Will we be able to steam clean the engine compartment like our other cars? Since I got the SG, I think I will block the upper grill to prevent the gunk getting in. I did use the touchless was about 2 weeks ago but it didn't do that great of a job plus it is already this dirty. Too hard and expensive to keep up with.
I feel ya. This was from driving back to Chicago from east of Ann Arbor the evening of New Year's Day. I should have taken a full picture of it the next morning. You can kinda see the dirt on the passenger rear door...
This thread is proof of one thing, You can drive a prius in the snow!! Mine is dirty from being parked in my open carport. Damn dust!!
