Yeah, welcome grats and even though you don't think you deserve it, thanks! My friend is like that too. Everyone is being really supportive of his joining the Marines because he really really wants to. He has always been into the war games, and playing airsoft, paintball, and spending too much time a the military surplus. Hehe. His parents have made a really good living for their family, so we all know he's not doing it for any financial or employment reasons. He just really wants to do it. Awesome kid, his recruiter just called me the other day. On a side note, NICE pics!
Thanks all, The pics with the hybrid symbols in them were taken with a Nikon D90 with a 50mm F/1.4 and the others were taken with a Canon G11 with editing work from PS CS3. I will keep them coming as soon as I get away a little from the holidays lol. Brad congrats on your friend joining I am sure he will love it, and if he doesn't I will make him wish he never joined lol. JK Thats the Motivation talking haha. Happy Holidays All Semper Fi Roger
The d90 is my cousins. I had a Canon 5D with a 24-70 F/2.8L 200 F/2.8L and a few other non L lenses. I will say though I am going to be going to a Nikon D700 pretty soon the ISO got me alone and features. I am going to the "darkside" and do not think I will look back lol
As our troll slayer mod Evan has pointed out, when his cool pics raised an inquiry to camera type ... it's not the equipment ... it's the talent behind the lens that really matters. Case in point: Consider the crappy picture taken below, of & with my 12mp DSLR, Sigma 18-200mm os lens, 580ex speedlight ... all set on full auto. Point is, you can take a very nice pic with a cell phone if you do it all right ... as the one in my signature, below. Consumer Reports though says it's a toss up between Nikon & Canon (i've had both). Nikon, Canon top camera satisfaction poll | Digital Media - CNET News So ... being the consumate cheapskate, I go for the cheapest one. and now ... :focus: .
Nice! Stock flash? I just took some pic's off Dana point - ritz carlton ... too tired to post 'em. maybe tomorrow. .
No flash, just a 30 sec exposure in an area where another car drove by and I caught his lights as well. I like he G11 but I miss my 5D
