Saw this unusual Prius Pic posted on Twitter: Yfrog - e5tw - Uploaded by antonio Looks like a LiDar scanner atop the roof with a measuring unit for road speed attached to rear wheel?
Is that a camera for taking and developing the "street view" scenes for mapping services like Google Maps?
Certainly not the Streetview setup, that's a lot more complex. Sadly the original image isn't great to hard to discern detail.
