Happy New Year! We just got home from the dealer around 9pm after first having a celebratory dinner at a chinese restaurant. Me and my family are now the proud owners of a second hybrid, a 2010 Blizzard Pearl Prius V, Misty Gray w/ Nav. It will be accompanied by our 2008 Camry Hybrid Jasper Pearl. We were officially the last customers of the year! There was another family that also bought a Prius, a Barcelona Red Metallic IV with Solar, that left right after we finished the paperwork. Just a Blue Metallic with the tech package in Canada. When I ordered in September, no dealer in Canada has one in stock or on order. My car was slated for October 2009 production in Japan. It arrived in Canada in early December. There was a railway strike that delays it for a week and I was away in 1 week in December and can only pick up the car after Christmas. BTW, it IS worth the wait.
Got my Barcelona red IV 5 weeks ago, BLACK FRIDAY, 11-27! So far we love it. We started the "process", (order), in late July. Early days of September the car came in with the wrong interior color. I told them I wasn't having it, and backed out of the deal. Two months later I went back and ran it up the flag pole and it still "saluted", so we tried again, this time they got it right, (bisque interior)! So welcome to the "owners of Prius" group. Hope we all will enjoy the cars for years to come!
bought mine on 12/31/09. need the additional tax deduction. walked in and 2 hours later drove home in a new prius II. so far i'm loving it. also amazed at the aftermarket presence of this car. that was completely unexpected.
I also bought a 2010 Prius on 12/31/2009 for the additional tax deduction. Got a classic silver Prius III with Nav.
