Last night (July 4th) I had to gas up the Prius. While doing so I had my back to the pump and BSing with the guy at the next pump over. Well the pump clicked off so with my back still to the pump, I clicked it a few more times, then hung up the hose without looking at the total on the pump. When I went in to pay, the clerk gives me a smirk and said "You planned that, didn't you?", My reply, "huh", "The price of your gas" she says, "I didn't look" I replied. The total came to $17.76! Really, I did not try to get that amount, like I said I wasn't even looking at the pump, Just looked at the gallons (8.6) when I hung up the hose!!! OK start the Twilight Zone music any time!

Jimofdg...I ike your signature............and the 1776 story on the 4th was great..I could not tell if anyone was disparaging such obviously "patriotic" story, or just joking about it in the usual humor style here on FHOP.
