Does anyone know where to find Owner's Manual Cases for Toyota. Mine are roaming around in my glove compartment and it would be nice to keep them organized.

The cases are usually provided by the dealer.

I was a tiny little bit torqued that my dealer didn't provide a manual case. I used an old CD case and it works great. Still, that's one of those little niceties that make a purchase experience that much better.

I got a cover with my manuals from my dealer. It is, without doubt, the ugliest, cheapest looking shiny green plastic cover I have ever seen. But for the fact that it will be in my glove box or under my rear section, I might seriously look into replacing it. I will look in every rental car I use for the next few months to see if there is any other manufacturer that makes a decent manual cover that will fit that I can buy.

I think LRKingII's solution of using an inexpensive, neoprene, netbook sleeve like this one is terrific:

    [IMGLINK]http://www.targus.com/us/product_images/TSS11101US_cases_b.jpg[/IMGLINK]

Personally, no car manufacturer or dealer has ever given me a decent folder for my manuals. For my Volvo, they gave me a cheap vinyl folder. For my Prius and all my other cars, they gave me one of those paper/manilla/cardboard envelopes with a flap. I've never gotten anything good like those I've seen for Mercedes and other German cars.

BTW, can anyone measure the height and width of the 2010 Owner's Manual for me?

(I had heard that it's bigger than standard or prior Prius Manuals.)

If you get a netbook sleeve or other cover, it'd be nice if it's no bigger than necessary.

My Gen III came with a nice black leather (vinyl?) case with a magnetic clasp and the Toyota logo. Holds all of the manuals for the car, the nav, warranty info, customer care services, tire info, and the DVD. Guess I got lucky.

    Yes you did!!!

I think I first heard about your nice case in other threads about the sorry manual covers people were getting.

I think your nice case is particular to the Gulf States sales entity which is independent (not one of the Toyota sales regions).

And if I recall correctly, the second nicest case was particular to the South East sales entity -- another independent that's not one of the Toyota sales regions (but in his post above, Joe166 from Florida describes the case as cheap looking and ugly).

Yes, mine came from Southeast Toyota. It is bright green, vinyl plastic, holds all the booklets, main book on one side and others on the left side. Very slick, no pretense of anything fancier, no clasp, just folds over and does hold everything, but really, really ugly unless you are a leprechaun or something like that because the green is really loud.

Mine, too. I guess that's the only benefit of paying sticker price during C4C.

Ours came in a manila envelope. It fits in the deep slot in the back of the glove box. It's dorky, but it keeps them together.

My 2009 came with this nice kind of case also. :)

FYI: I got mine from the New England region.

    Thanks.

From the statistical sampling so far (from this and the other manual cover threads), I'm seeing that typically the Gulf States got the best manual cover and the Southeast States got the next best manual cover, but individual dealers anywhere can always get and give the Gulf and Southeast States' covers if they want to.

Side Note: While the independent Gulf States and Southeast States sale regions may have the best manual covers, I think that dealers in those independent sale regions pay more in mandatory advertising fees than all or most of those in the Toyota sale regions. This means that the true dealer invoice prices (and consequently, the sale prices) for Toyotas in those independent sale regions may be higher.

I've taken all the manuals etc, put them in a brown envelop, and place them in the trunk storage area under the carpet. I only keep another very thin brown envelop with all the documents needed if I get pulled over by the cop; and a card with the dealer's number, in there.

I never read the manual after an initial read but I use the glove compartment box a lot. So it is valuable real estate and should not be taken up by some manual I only read once a year. Also, I have the pdf version of the manual on the computer. If I need something, I read it there.

    8.5" x 5.5" x 5/8" for the main manual.

Then there was a smaller one, same dimensions but not as thick.

I got 2 white vinyl pouches for my manuals.

I think that is really weird that you did not get a case for your manuals. Mine came with all the pertinent manuals in a nice Toyota emblazoned, velcro closing expanding case with pockets for the dealership biz cards, etc. It is obviously a factory item designed for this purpose. I wonder if the dealer kept yours?

The stack is 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" by 2 1/8" deep and weighs 3 pounds. Composed of:
    Owner's Manual
    Navigation System Owner's Manual
    Owner's Warranty Rights Notification
    Quick Reference Guide
    Warranty & Maintenance Guide
    USB Interface
    DVD folder
    Compact Spare Warranty
    Tire Warranty
    XM directory

PIO DK Preferred Owner's Portfolio (with magnet) which doesn't have a sticker price but costs the dealer either $4 or $8 doesn't hold everything. At Cherry Hill Toyota the alternative is a white plastic pouch that snaps closed.

This is my first post! I just picked up my Prius yesterday...loving it! It will take some time getting used to not having the "off the line" power or response of my Saab Turbo. I suppose I can take a short trip around the block in the Saab to get my power fix!

Regarding a cover for the manuals...I found a great document bag from the big orange monster ( Home Depot). It's black ballistic nylon, about 7 1/2 X 12 inches, has a zipper and a business card window. All my manuals fit in it perfectly! Check it out, Husky brand ( Home Depot's own brand) item number 257 138 for about 3 bucks!
