PP is cheaper at $4/quart or $20/5 quarts.

I almost think the costof the parts and maintenace wipes out the savings for the fuel. Sparkplugs are 65 each, headlights 300each, I had to sync up the tire pressure sensor 80. Maybe all auto dealers are the same but it just seems everything is very expensive. An oil change for the 2010 is 80 to 85. WOW. because of the 0-20 oil.

Now I am glad I got the Service Plan! :) It's clearly spelled out and it will cost me no more than 1097.00 over 4 years and 60,000 miles.

Other than a repair if needed....but all normal maint is covered, including wiper blade replacements every 8 months. So that equates to about 274.00 per year. That's reasonable in my book. :)

If you pay that much for any of those items you are getting shafted and not doing your research.

I wanted to thank you for posting this. I bought a used 08 a little over a month ago and the dealer's website said for the 45k package it was $182. I went in and said "I'd like an oil change" and it ended up at $34 (with all of the same "courtesy" checks as the "maintenance package"...).

All the regular maintenance required is given the in the Warranty and Maintenance Guide:

    http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/guides.php

That's eight oil changes, tire rotations, inspections and a couple of air filters. $500 would be a lot for that. Even less if you change the engine and cabin air filters yourself, and skip the tire rotations.
