Hello again, I'm a happy possessor of a Toyota Prius Executive 2007, 33.000km, navigation, JBL sound, bluetooth and so on.. I've bought it from Germany this week and I'm very happy about this acquisition. It's my first car.. I will bring it to Romania, register it and at the end, I will make some pictures for you to see it.. Probably there is here a place who anyone can put the pictures with his Prius.. Have a nice weekend all of you! BR, Andrei
Guys, I need your help.. in final, did anyone copied a Prius navigation DVD with success, and did you find how to do this operation? I've created also a topic at this address: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...ope-map-update-dvd-how-copy-original-dvd.html Can you please advise me step by step how to copy this DVD?
Andrei, long live your car!!! And you, of course! Saddly, I am aware of many attempts of duplicating a Navi DVD, but for now insuccesfully. But if I'll have news about it, I'll let you know. Disclaimer: for US owners, we, in Eastern Europe, don't get our cars, Toyota generally, with available navigation for our country, even the cars have GPS receiver and all it needs for sattelite guiding...
Things have changed... Meantime, Toyota sells cars with built-in navi who actually have a navigation software usable in EE. And, I got my hands on a Russian version of dvd-navi, wich includes Ro. I've had used it and it's pretty good. So, mandrei83, if you want it, contact me. All the best and A happy new year!!! DarkPRIUS aka FAR EASTERN
Hey! I already have original 2009-2010 DVD navi disks, bought directly from Toyota Europe. I'm in Brussels now, I've ordered them because I didn't wanted to get complicated with those copied disks. I've had (and I still have) the 2008-2009 DVD navi disk for Russia, it has Romania map, indeed.. My Prius was bought from Germany, it's an Executive 2007 version. In Romania, this generation of Prius comes as standard only on SOL, without Navi.
Wow, I saw your pics. I am amazed what you did to the poor car GPL, PHEV! I'm still in US, but I still plan to come back to Romania (and have my Prius shipped too) ... maybe this year! If so, I will increase the number of Prius owners in Ro. Anyway, keep in touch! Ciprian.
Btw, did any of you have troubles with the water going inside. Se scurge pe undeva pana la baterie, roata de rezerva si sub mocheta dreapta spate. Inca nu am reusit sa-i dau de capat. A, si pute a lana de oaie murata de-ti vine sa vomiti cand urci in masina. Hello all, I own a 2012 Prius C Model 2, much beloved, first car pretty much. Now, hardly a year after I bought it, I am planning a move to Bucharest where I will be for 2 years and then I will come back to the US. I wonder if I should sell it or not. I am moving with my job -- they have offered to move the prius or if I don't move it, then they will give me $4500 for the inconvenience (same deal when moving back from Romania to the US in two years from now). The blue book value of a Prius C model two with 4,500 miles is $18,500, about exactly $3,000 less than what I bought it for. I confirmed that the model is certified in Romania. I am considering 3 options. Could you help me with some questions on each option: 1) Shipping it with me -- If I want to bring it back to the US with me 2 years from now, I will again have to forgo $4500 offered by my employer if I don't ship it back. What do you think I"ll be able to resell it for in 2 years in Romania? Where can I check second-hand prices in Romania? Will Toyota there know how to fix it if something goes wrong? Will my one more year of free toyota check-ups be still valid there? 2) Leaving it in storage -- What will be the damage to the car in a covered storage? Where can I find such storage (i am zipcode 20816)? What does storage go for? How about insurance and registration taxes -- will i need to continue paying those? 3) Selling -- I've gotten a few emails about it when listed at 18.5K. Still have to do craigslist. $3K loss seems like a lot, no? Other pieces of information I was able to gather in terms of alternatives in romania -- 500 euros per month for car lease; Taxis are cheap (but I'd probably want a car for the weekends and errands). Supposedly new cars at least 30% more expensive. I am ok with the cash layout to buy a new car or a used car as long as I can re-sell it with a reasonable loss in two years. Any thoughts on the market in Romania? Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Prius owner here, looking for a way to add Romania on my navigation, can i still get a dvd from toyota?
