Well as the title says I am the owner of an 2010 Toyota Prius II, Blizzard white. Well as of June of this year I had my 2008 Jeep Wrangler on 35's with stock 3.73 gears. I got about 10 MPG, I traded that in when my divorce started in July for a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T. The MPGs were better but not what I wanted. So after tons of figuring out what I needed compared to what I wanted I got my Prius. Well I am very impressed by it. Now mind you I am a United States Marine and I am an instructor as well so you can just imagine the crap that I get from my peers. I love it and it is a blast to drive. The only thing that I want on it is tinted windows. Semper Fi Sgt Reyes
:welcome: You will love your car. I live on the east coast and have the tinted windows. I would not be close to the coast without the tinted ones.
Welcome. And Grats. Just remember if someone is a lower rank, just make them do push-ups or other vigorous work-out until they see your point of view. If someone is of same or greater rank, take them for a drive. And mention some details about the performance and mpg. They could come to appreciate the car. On a side note, Thank you for serving our Country.
Congrats! Maybe you could have some custom red strips and a blue area with stars put on it with that wrap stuff- then your buddies won't DARE make fun of it! Kind of like this: Race Car Numbers, Race Car Decals, Race Car Wraps
Thanks for your service to our country. I'm also enjoying my new Blizzard White ride and glad to know it isn't a sissy color like some have suggested lol.
Thanks you guys for the warm welcome. I am enjoying the hell out of it. I just drove to Vegas from North County San Diego and it was not at all the cost of what it used to be on gas. No need to thank me for serving our country I signed up to do what I love. Thank you guys for being such supportive members of our great nation.
Wow, 40 grand!!! Good for you! My daughter asked me what car I would get if I hit the lottery, I said a loaded Prius. She laughed, but I was serious.
Yes, a hearty welcome :welcome: and remember . . . the D.I.'s need to be nice 'because no one wants to see a major malfunction .
I am putting in my Drill Instructor package in sometime in January. There is no such thing as a Nice Drill Instructor LOL
That's what my dad says regarding D.I.'s . . . he's in his late 80's & did basic at pendleton. His mom had to sign permission to let him join at 17 years of age. They sent him to iwo jima for which he atributes 40 years of alchoholism ... and fearing death. But he's been sober now for over 2 decades. Sheesh ... what a way to spend your teens, and a good reason to hope & prey for no more wars. Carry on. .
Yeah everyone still calls them D.I's. There is a lot to deal with when you come back. I hit the bottle pretty hard when I came back from Afghanistan last November and tried to get over it like that. Needless to say I got over it with some therapy and now have the drinking under control. I could not let them get the best of me.
