I must have the manual withthe warning lights at home and not in the car. It came on this morning. It lit up on the right hand side. It's a yellow light, circle-ish but open on the top with an exclamation point inside (!) and little ^^^ on the bottom. What dose this mean?
LoraJ That would be your TPMS Sensor Light. (Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor) That illuminates when your tire pressure has dropped below a threshold. Typically I understand about 6-8 PSI of air pressure. I would stop and have your tires checked at some place convenient to see what tire is low. It could be from the cold weather, or you could have a slow leak in a tire??? Check it to be sure...
Thank you. I will check the pressure on the way home. When I saw the light I thought that might be it and got out of the car and looked and they didn't seem to be low. I am so bad at tire stuff.

That icon depicts an underinflated tire with its sidewalls being squished ... exclamation point! In cold weather, tire pressure can drop 25% more easily.
Mine's on too. Don't ignore it! I also -looked- at my tires when it came on, -then- I actually measured the tire pressure. One was at 22 PSI! Put some air in them ASAP!
Be sure to check the spare tire as well since it has a sensor on it, too. Cold weather always seems to make this feature activate, but I think it is a nice one to have.
I didn't think that the donut spare has a sensor in it -- the recommended inflation levels of the regular tires and the donut spare are very different.
The 2010 spare tire does not have a tire sensor. The recommended pressure for this tire is 60 psi, though.
I experienced the same thing last weekend. Drove around in REALLY cold conditions and hard snow in the Catskills. Tire pressure went down to 24 PSI. Definitely pumped up the tires the next morning, and all was well. You might even bump up your mileage now too! Be sure to check your tire pressure often (at least around every 2-3 weeks), because varying temperatures (warm garage, cold outdoors) will surely keep messing with your PSI.
Tire pressures should be checked at least monthly. Low tire pressure is the great silent killer of MPGs, and, if low enough, tires also.
I had this same warning at about the time of our first cold snap. I took the car to the dealer and they said the pressure had dropped to about 28 in all tires. They increased the pressure to 35 or more. I can't recall the exact number. I felt silly about going in for tire pressure, but they said it happens all the time.
I picked up a small nail in one of our tires and the low pressure light came on. Later, I pumped the tire pressures up to 45 psi, maximum sidewall, and then reset the monitoring level. At the bottom of the dash under the steering wheel, there is a small white button that is used to reset the tire pressure set value. Bob Wilson
Mine went off today, since we are having a mild cold snap. Stopped at a Tire Kingdom and had them check all tires. All 4 were low. I've just never been good at checking the air pressure. Maybe this will get me to start.
