    Hey all,
Has anyone had any trouble removing the license plate lights?

I read the owners manual and follow the instructions on how to take it out and after continuous effort the thing won't budge.

No issues with it. It should come out fairly easily with a firm pull. If that doesn't work, you might have to use a flat head screwdriver to slightly separate the unit from the tabs holding it in place.

No problems here. First week I had the car I replaced all exterior bulbs, and had no issue with any of them, following owners manual instructions.

Lots of problems with the earlier cars. Nice to hear that the new ones are done better!

Well the difference is that our problem is the getting the actual plastic piece off followed by getting the socket base out.

The Gen 3 problem is getitng the bulbs out of the socket (at least that was the problem in my case).

I'm assuming you can't take the bulb out of the socket?

I had one easy bulb and one stuck bulb. I use electrician tape and a pair of pliers to gently pull the bulb out.

if you're talking about twisting the socket out of the car itself, umm... try some WD-40 or jigga-loo and see if that helps.

I'm having trouble turning it. The manual says "turn counter clockwise and pull." Tried it (several times) and won't budge.

I had same problem you are having. Used a pair of locking pliers with cloth and turned gently. They appeared to be stuck. After I put them back, it was possible to remove them by hand as per owners manual. NOTE GENTLY!
