So I was went online to the discount tire site and was curious to see how different wheels looked on the Prius. I came across the Momo Winter wheel which I thought looked rather nice on the Prius. It almost reminds me of the wheel for the new 2010 Prius, though not as curvy. Anyways, what do you think? This particular wheel is 16" x 6.5" and has been weighed in at about 19.5 lbs, which is not much heavier than the factory wheel. If anyone happens to own this wheel, please chime in and post real life pictures!
Not a bad looking wheel. Were I looking for new wheels for my '05 I would try to find a set of 'Gen III V 17" takeoffs. I like the factory 17" wheel.
I got these for my winter wheels - they are high pressure casts. Only $79 at Tirerack right now. Elbrus I05 Silver Machined w/Ice Coating They look pretty good on the car. They also aren't too much heavier than the stockers from my highly calibrated arms. Jonathan
They have a Winter 2 out now for 102 per wheel...looks REAL nice on the simulator they have. (can't post the link, but you can see it on discount tire's website) I was going to go with an Elbrus, but I really really like the look of these MOMOs.
I've always been a fan of Momo wheels, although I do think they tend to run on the heavier side. Both the Winter and Winter 2 look nice, but I prefer the multi-spoke of the Winter 2. Just my 2 cents...
Placed an order for the Winter 2 in 17". Ill post up some pics when I get them on (hopefully on Friday).
They are almost perfectly flush without any spacers/mods. That is just straight bolted on...I'm very very happy with the result.
