I just bought a Prius V and really am excited with it. Just one tiny bit problem, I don't know how to change the temperature reading from *F to *C, because *C is mandatory in my country and I find it way too hard to calculate the temperature from time to time. Could it be a way to change it into *C, because Prius does provide the option between MPH and km/h etc. Thanks and looking forward to help
On my 2010 Prius V all I have to do is change the settings on the Touch Navigation Screen under set up. It gives you the option C or F. Try this, it works for me. Good Luck.

I did as you said, only seeing the Maintenance Tab inside. I searched ev'rywhere, still haven't seen any option of Outside Temperature Display . How clumsy I am :"). Setup/Vehicle/Maintenance/... Is it correct? Can you tell me what's next ?
For a quick mental calculation (not accurate but close) use the formula: F -30/2 = C Ex.: 50F -30 = 20/2 = 10C -20F -30 = -50/2 = -25C
It is a bit more correct to write that approximation as: (F-30) / 2 = C Of course the real formula is: (F-32) *5/9 = C 5/9 = .5555... and not the approximation of .5 that you use. So an improvement to the approximation is as follows (looks complicated, but isn't): C = ((F-30 or 32) /2 )*1.1 All this means is that after you divide by 2 you add 10% which is very easy to do. For example, 82F. Subtract 32 to get 50, divide by 2 to get 25, add 10% (or 2.5) and you have 27.5C. Very close to the real answer of 27.777... Starting at 212F, subtract 32 to get 180, divide by 2 to get 90, add 9 to get 99 -- very close to the actual 100C. If you use 30 instead of 32 in the range of interest (~0F to 120F) the results will be about 1C or less on the low side and if you use 32 your results will be within about 0.5C on the high side. (Yes, there are some crossover points that reverse the error to be negative 0.1 or so below 32...but the this is outside the precision of any thermometer or setting in the Prius) 3PriusMike
I just heard from the Customer Services that it's impossible to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius so maybe that's time to begin learning how to do the conversion, the other choice would be bring a calculator all the time I guess. I will stick to (F-30) / 2 = C for its simplicity
