Can we ask that posters cut off their "signature" at ONE line. I (and most others, I am sure) don't care how many cars you have, what color it is, what your mileage is---there is a category for that--- what stereo it has, and so on. If someone wants to know all that they will search for the proper category. There is your profile available to list all that superfluous information. I hate it when I find an interesting post and have to wade through so much garbage to read the "meat".
I like to know if they have more then 1 pri and other info if it bothers you just dont read it....Maybe you are just anal?
To not see Signatures try this: User CP --> Settings and Options --> Edit Options --> Thread Display Options --> Uncheck Show Signatures "You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts." :cheer2:
Wouldn't it be ironic if somebody posted a topic just like this, but didn't bother to find the right forum for it? Then caused other people to "wade through" to the car-related discussion? Naah, nobody would do that...
My computer has a mouse, and the mouse comes with a scroll button which makes scrolling past long signatures take less time per PriusChat session than reading the entire opening post. So, thank you, Mr. I Only Have 16 Posts for telling us old-timers how we should do things 'round here.
I just want to propose some new board rules: Rule One! No Poofters! Rule Two, no member of the the board is to maltreat the Trolls in any way at all -- if there's anybody watching. Rule Three? No Poofters!! Rule Four, I don't want to catch anybody not drinking. Rule Five, No Poofters! Rule Six, there is NO ... Rule Six. Rule Seven, No Poofters!! Right, that concludes the readin' of the rules. (Couldn't help myself )
Folks may also have noticed that, very often, signatures don't add anything to the required scrolling, because that useful stuff on the left determines the length of the (short to medium length) post. You notice my sig is smaller font than the post, making it easy to see where one ends and the other starts.... easy to skip if needed.
No... Again... No. You don't want to read em, don't... Making up new rules when you just walk in is a bit draconian and delusional, especially when some of the old-timers here have data in their sigs that isn't static or just fluffy green goo for the pabulum drinking crowd... Besides... I like reading the other members sigs.
