Starting to see more ad for Prius on craigslist now. Inventories must be back up compare to early Oct. I see Pkg2 silver for $22300 and blizzard perl for $22426.
Again, it's a baseline. If you got 1200 off MSRP and I get 500 then yes, you did better. However, I'm getting 1000 off for first inquiry calls which means I should be able to do much better by the end of the month. Just a gamble. I feel like I'll actually be able to disregard MSRP all together and negotiate off of dealer invoice cost.
Opps I meant to give my deal! My deal was as follows: 2010 Prius II (Winter Grey) Zero money down sign and drive $355.00/mo 36 mo. 15K / year No disposition fee BTW...this was not IMO what my target payment was...I was shooting for $340.00 and I believe I left money on the table. That said I was tired of shopping...the Prius' were thin on the ground here in the Orlando area and my previous lease car was out the door so I caved after about a month of negotiation...still I am consoling myself by driving my cool new car...my kid loves it...and that's all that really matters anyway.
I saw this too. My friend called and said they are scams and not adding the destination fee to the price. You should be able to easily get one for the price you are seeing with destination fee. I hate dealerships, they are all about luring you in with false ads!
To add another for the record: Bought our Prius V w/ NAV this past weekend for $1458 below MSRP and less than $300 above invoice. Love the look the 17" wheels add to the car, so it pretty much had to be a V or else aftermarket, which I really wasn't much into. Inventory at the local dealer here was decent, and the Phoenix area appears to be very well stocked with whatever you prefer.
I can get a Prius II with bluetooth and mats for $21, 650. Can anyone tell me if that's a good deal?? Thanks
Are we allowed to discuss prices on this BBS? I'm surprised. Most don't allow that (fearing spam). Package III + floormats + rear bumper applique = $22,000 out the door. By the way, if you wait till Dec 28, and the dealer doesn't have the car in stock, don't you risk losing the local sales tax deduction (that expires on Dec 31)? Because of the tax deduction, I expect a rush of customers at the dealer in late December .... Aloke Prasad
Yes, I have considered this after I just read that even if you take the standard deduction you can still add the sales tax deduction on top. I may buy earlier than I had thought. Also, the II in Classic Silver with dark gray interior's aren't as numerous as before even though other models are still plentiful. I'm going to start checking some prices next week.
Sorry, I was wrong on the price. It was $22,000 + $275 for doc and registration + 6.75% tax = $23,780 out the door. They basically reduced the MSRP of the "Package III + floormats + rear bumper applique" to $22,000. Still, not bad. It is less than what my co-worker paid for his Package II.
Not bad? That's a fabulous deal!!! MSRP on the II is 22400 and that doesn't include 750 destination. Did you shop around, how did you get that deal?
The dealers in Central Ohio must be more competitive. I broadcasted the leading (lowest price) contender to all the dealers I was negotiating with. One dealer actually made a lower offer AFTER I had signed the papers at another dealer. The second dealer matched it and I saved $1100 in the process by doing nothing except keeping all involved informed of the latest offer on the table. Nothing special, same thing that all do while negotiating. Still, I bet everyone ends up feeling like they should have held of off for a lower price ..
That is an AWESOME deal! I thought getting a dealer down to $23,000 would be great - but that is truly incredible for a Prius III! We are planning on purchasing soon and I only dream of getting a deal that great. Dealers here are only offering bare minimums for discounts.
A dealer in Denver is offering a 2010 Prius II with bluetooth, Rear bumper app, and mates for $21,699. Seems like that's good deal too?
We got our Prius II for $22,398, down from MSRP of $23,350 (w/ mats). I think $952 under MSRP is reasonable. I did the 'email me your best price game' and refused to give out my phone number to any of the local dealers (when a # was required to submit the email, I entered 602-555-5555). It was nice to buy a car without having any phone calls.
Hello Gents, Just back from the dealership and got my Prius II barcelona red for 22000 out of the door. I think I could have done better but runned out of energy
Would you mind PM me the name of the dealership? I am in the process of getting internet quotes from dealers around Northern Virginia area for a Prius II. So far my best OTD quote is $23,200 (with tax, destination, fees and tags include) I think the only option included is carpet. Appreciate your help!
