I noticed the floor mats have holes which line up with holes in the floorboard. I saw some mention in the manual of Floor Mat "locks". My old truck had a little peg on the floor board which went through a hole in mat to keep it in place. I'm just wondering if I was supposed to have some kind of floor mat locks in my prius, because I don't! Just two metal ringed holes in the mat and in the floor of the prius!
Hi Nos402, I have the floor locks in my Prius. They are actually quite tall, I was able to put the All Weather Rubber Floor Mats on top of the carpet mats and they are both hooked to the floor locks. They should be right underneath the driver and passenger seats, flush with the front edge of the seats. Happy Driving!
Hmm. you should have them. They are pretty cheap, you can get them on eBay or at the dealer. I would recommend them.
Re: Floor mat "locks"?o you have them? Strange. I definitely don't have them. I don't even have the holes on the passenger side.
Oh, the holes are only on the driver's side. It's to keep the mats from sliding up and interfering with accelerator and brake pedal operation.
Yeah but all I have is holes. Two holes in the mat, and two holes in the floor. I imagine I should have some kind peg or something coming out of the floorboard holes shouldn't I?
The hooks came with the mats. We got the mats from the parts department after we got the car and the hooks were in the plastic bag. They just snap into the holes.
http://www.metrotpn.com/ProductCollection....CollectionID=25 The Toyota All Weather Floor Mats come with the locks. Mat won't stay in place long without them, and did interfere with accelerator when in wrong place. Very nice fit once restrained...
When I picked up my Prius last Saturday, I found my locks contained in a plastic bag in the lower glove compartment ... have you looked there? Peace!
