Would of got a Red but in Canada you can only get bisque interior , and just could not do that I have had the past two with tan interiors, looks nice a pain to keep clean
I like the Barcelona Red too. But you know what's a little odd? -- and maybe I'm the only one that feels this way -- I think the Barcelona Red looks better on the Gen II Prius than it does on the Gen III.
I thought the red was the sharpest, that's why I grabbed a IV when it came in. When the salesman to me to the service garage to see it, all I could say was WOW! I get more comments on this car than any other I've had and more are about it's look than it's hybridness. Takes me back to a red GTO I had in the 60's.
We got the last Prius on the lot at a local dealer in the cash for clunkers program. It happened to be Barcelona Red with Bisque leather. Talk about luck... Our other hybrid is a Lexus RX400h in Matador Red with Parchment (tan) leather. Here's a pic. Don't have a pic of the Prius yet.
FWIW ... and, I duno if this is a large enough cross section, but those of us who went to Prius Connection Detroit & pre-ordered, htmlspinner set up a pole ... We went for the following colors: Our personal choice was Sandy Beach. But it too, like red, actually isn't the largest preference, by far. Bahh! What do all those blue folks know ~ .
I have a red IV and I was able to park next to another red gen III at a Red Lobster in Charlotte as I was passing through, I've yet to see another gen III with solar though. Man, the red ones look h-o-t!
I agree that the red Prius is hot! For some strange reason, my 2 teenage daughters forbid me from getting a red car. I can't figure that one out, but unless they plan on buying me a Prius, I think I should have the final say.
If all vehicles since 1990 are supposed to be clear-coated, I've seen some pretty faded red and black early 1990 model year cars so this disputes the above.
Depends on how you treat the car. I saw a Venetian Red 1999 Corolla that's faded like you wouldn't believe. I was shocked cause at that time, it was barely 7-8 years old.
One (1) more week and you'll be able to see one driving in Houston Texas!!!! Red IV, solar roof, tinted windows and dark gray interior. Oh... the stuff dreams are made of, but this one will be reality next week!
Yes, but some posters were suggesting colorfastness was no longer a concern because of the clear coat, which simply isn't true. You still have to provide some protection over the clear coat.
I, too, have a 2010 Prius IV in Barcelona Red...my ONE and ONLY choice. I like your location better, however. Palm trees and Barcelona Red Prius go together perfectly. Much better than Barcelona Red Prius and road salt...UGH, winter will be here soon!
I am the proud owner of a Barcelona Red Prius IV with solar. Red was my first choice, but the dealer could find nothing other than silver with solar. I half-heartedly agreed to take it. Slapped down my deposit. When the silver arrived, I just couldn't purchase it. It wasn't spicy... The Toyota regional mgr stepped in and they located a red in the SET inventory that was scheduled to arrive about a month later.... I LOVE the red. I've only seen one other red prius IV.
