When I was driving into the garage today I noticed what appeared to be a crack in the smoked instrument cluster glass/plastic. I could only see it from the drivers seat and the sun/light has to be in just the right position. However, you can feel it with your finger/fingernail. I've attached a stock Prius pic with the approximate location indicated by the arrow. I will attempt to get an actual shot tomorrow with my digital camera and post it as a supplement. My questions are: #1. Has anyone else seen this on their car? #2. Has anyone else asked their dealer about it? #3. Is it a crack or is it a seam in the panel? I hate the thought of having to have this replaced :cussing: because it is likely that the dealer will not get things back together with the same factory fit/finish. (I have less than 500 miles on the car.) Thanks.
Had the same question a while back. I never noticed it until the plastic was replaced for some minor and unrelated scratches.
A picture of what is being talked about might be nice. A crack is not perfectly straight but that lens is in two parts.
