I purchased a 2010 Prius III on Sunday November 1, 2009. On Monday, I drove the 2010 Prius for it's first road trip consisting of 90% highway and 10% city/rural. I calculated my MPG the old fashion way. I filled up at the beginning and end of the trip using the same gas pump at the same Mobil station. I started the trip with odometer reading 42 miles and returned at odometer reading 384 miles. I used 6.09 gallons for this 342 mile trip. Actual MPG was 56.16 which was approximately 2 MPG less than what the Prius computer calculated. The car was quite comfortable. I am now a true Prius believer.
