Sorry to not respond sooner, but I've not been on for a long time. I just checked the mail and saw your post. I'm sure by now you've got your Prius and enjoying your car!! My Goldie is almost three years old and we get about 53 to 54 mpg using premium gas. The mileage went down with the ethanol. So for your answer.

I purchased my car through Servco Pacific (Mapunapuna) and had it shipped to Maui.
I then went to see our Toyota Dealership here and had them write a letter that they would honor the warranty. I confirmed with Troy and the repair manager that since this was a Toyota warranty, it would be good even in Hawaii and also since the purchase was an internet purchase, it did not violate any regional dealership agreements. So far so good, we have not had any problems with our car, (except for a few "dings" by careless fools who want to bang any new car they see)!!! There are quite a few Prius on Maui and when I get to Oahu, I see a lot there too!!!

I hope your car is all that you have hoped for and again my sincere apology for not checking in and seeing your mail. I know how excited you must have been and frustrated that I did not reply with Tony's info. Hopefully someone else mailed you a response sooner, if not check Tony out. I paid (I think) $800 compared to the $1700 to $2,100 that Servco and Maui Toyota wanted.
