I don't remember if I posted a new newbie on this blog. When your 74 it's hard to be considered a newbie. Something new for me is I've not made car payments in the last 20 years, I would buy for cash a car somewhat above the clunker class, when it died sold it for salvage. When the last car blew a head gasket with 200000 miles I decided I'm to old to repair cars of pay to have it done.
I worked at Cape Kennedy on the Apollo rocket series for Chrysler Corp. So I really love HIGH TECH stuff. I drove a Prius and immediately fell in love with it, I test drove 15 or so before I settled on the one I got. Since you don't get rich on Social Security, I set my dollar limit at $15,000 and ended up getting one a 2005 package 6 for $12500 with 67,000 and also got the extended warranty from an individual, needless to say I am in High Tech heaven. The thing that really suprised me it they basically drove and handled the same regardless of mileage or age.
