    First Prius, first car.

    Very little DIY car experience, but have general mechanical/handy experience and access to resources/help. When I was a student my work-study landed me in the ag. engineering department machine shop, doing whatever grunt work they didn't want to pay a professional for. So while I haven't done much on a car beyond change a tire and jump a battery, I do have general mechanical/handy experience, I can probably borrow tools, and I'm friends with a machinist.
