... very hard to find, over US$1,400 MSRP at the Toyota parts counter (excluding horn assembly), that is an OEM Toyota leather steering wheel, in blue. No more leather MR2 steering wheels to be had. For the AW11, Toyota's parts bin is empty. We are on our own. This OEM blue leather wheel came around the world, not from an MR2, but from a 1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S: http://media.caranddriver.com/images/media/364591/1987-toyota-corolla-fx16-gt-s-steering-wheel-photo-364843-s-1280x782.jpg When this wheel arrived with a "Toyota" embossed horn assembly, I thought, "... gee, MR2s in the UK must have come with different horns!" Incorrect. Otherwise identical, the only difference, on the FX-16 Corolla GTS the horn was embossed "Toyota," instead of "MR2": http://www.autos.ca/galleries/2010/images/modern_classics/toyota_mr2__1984_____1995/toyota-mr2_jb2_007-7834.jpg Horn assembly I sourced to a shelf in upstate Michigan, where it had collected dust on a shelf two decades, brand new. Having scoured planet Earth several years, this OEM leather wheel was found, in remarkably good condition, in a remote rural area of Wales, in the UK. It's come 10 thousand miles around the world, to grace this car --
