Hi There Can anyone please help me with this. I can see the red triangle and yellow circle popup on my dashboard and then disappear after a couple of days. My prius is 2008 gen 2 and has done 552000 kms. Any help will be appreciated.

How is the MFD holding charge? If the display goes form purple bars to full green bars quickly over short drives, it could mean one or more of the modules in your HV pack is weak.

Also, if you have an OBD2 reader and Dr. Prius app, you will be able to get the specific codes that relate to these lights appearing. For me, I had all of these lights popping on and found out through using an OBD2 reader and the Dr. Prius app that I had one weak module in block #13 of my HV pack.

You could take it to O'Reilly or Autozone to have them read the codes, I did this before I got my own OBD2 reader, and it was a free service where they let me take their code reader out to my car, unfortunately, their code reader did not produce any codes on my 2005 Gen 2, so that is why I ordered a Carista OBD2 and did it myself.

MFD charge goes from purple to green only if i am going down hill otherwise its always between purple and blue bars. One of my friends tried OBD2 reader and it did show one of the modules is weak did not try the dr prius app tho. will give it a go again. But over here in New Zealand they recommend to get the entire battery pack replaced which costs about 2500 nzd. Any other ideas ?

@Ali001 Surge in MFD to full green bars when braking / going down a hill was typical of my experience with my struggling pack. Also, it typically stayed between purple and a few blues driving around town. It held like that for two or three months before the warning lights came on for me. I'd suggest posting a full write up with all the details that you have and explaining your experience in the maintenance / technical forum. I think you might get more traction with the forum and hopefully have several experienced members chime in with help diagnosing.

What did the OBD2 reader show as far as codes? Mine showed P0A80 "replace hybrid battery pack".

That is a similar cost to what I found here in California. I researched several options and made an overview video of my experience replacing two modules, then reconditioning the pack with a kit from Hybrid Automotive. This video might help review some of the options you could consider.
