Spectrum Analysis

Shots of my spectrum analyzer measuring rf from our 2010 and 2006 Prius. I started with a center frequency of 100 MHz, with a span of 199.9 MHz, and then switched to a center frequency of 7.5MHz, where a lot of noise appeared to reside. Top of screen is -40dBm. It appears that HF spectrum noise is much lower on the 2010 than on the 2006. Note the substantial increase in noise when positioning the antenna next to the inverter on the 2006 car, and the only slight changes when doing the same with the 2010. I used a 19 inch whip for each measurement.
