PRIUS DONE RIGHT

This is my 2009 Toyota Prius. My previous car was a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71. I was getting about 15mpg on a good day, and the truck was finally due. I was tentative to get a Prius, and at first had a hard time getting used to it, considering I am 6"4, and was used to the spacious cabin clearance of my previous vehicle. Also making the decision even more difficult was my mother-in-law and her giddiness every time she talked about her Prius and how righteous she was with everyone about her fuel economy/environmental impact. I could go on, but let's just say I had my reservations. So I am about a month with the car and have quickly made it my own, adding black leather interior myself, replacing the previous gray cloth with black genuine leather from Katzkin. To boot I added black tinted windows, and replaced the fabric floormats with rubber OEM Prius mats, that are black and look really sleek, not to mention that they are beyond easy to clean. Also, I installed a IPOD integration kit, that not only allows me to navigate and use my IPOD as my sole musical companion on the road through the NAV screen, but also play all my digital media content that is stored on my computer (TV shows, Movies, Video Podcasts, Video Blogs, Music Videos, Short Films, etc.). The IPOD I am using in my car is 120GB, and can fit pretty much anything and everything I would like to take on the road with me. I am not going to lie, but I also pulled a little trick and am able to navigate the IPOD and watch video while the car is in motion. I installed toggle switches that enable me to be in control whether or not I want this feature to be functional. I also removed the plastic pieces that go around the wheels, as I thought it made the car look cheap (which is one thing it isn't at around 30K), and put small white decal stickers on both rear windows on either side of the car (one reads THE MARS VOLTA, and the other reads RADIOHEAD). I also put a personalized University of Colorado Alumni license plate frame and put a small CU buff metal decal next to it on the rear bumper "GO BUFFS!". One thing that is not shown in the pictures is a small peripheral navigation module that I place inside the cup holder in the middle console(it is a Garmin streetpilot), and it fits perfectly allowing me to utilize the navigation, while bluetooth syncing to my iPhone, but also watch videos and navigate music without toggling screens. I am planning on putting some black wheels on the Prius without changing the tires, as to not alter the driving experience, but I am yet to see any wheels that fit my criteria. Overall I am pleased with my Prius, not missing the Tahoe, and getting 50MPG all while cruisin' in style!
